I think, like many pastors, that Monday mornings are always hard. Unlike in secular work it certainly isn’t the shock to the system of the first day of the week back at work – that happened yesterday. Rather it is the dip following a day of ministry and the attendant spiritual warfare and challenges that it brings.
So prayer becomes even more vital, as does spending that opening time with God in His Word – and then to work! Hopefully today I’ll have opportunity to update the website for this coming Sunday, get the morning sermon prepared for next Sunday, sort out what is wrong with the heater in the chapel that failed to work yesterday and get any replacement parts ordered. Any remaining time I’ll use (a) to update my installed version of E-Sword which is now somewhat out of date and (b) the ongoing task of updating our website.
Thanks to all who pray, it was great yesterday AM to have yet more members of plfc assure me of thir regular prayers for myself and for the ministry at plfc. Whatever we manange to do as a church will be built upon such faithful commitment to prayer!
