Sue and I started off cleaning the chapel after last night – I’m now convinced that the inventor of the mince pie had shares in a carpet cleaning company – ground in pastry must rank as one of the hardest to remove substances! So..tomorrow there will be plates for the mince pies!
Just sorted out a meeting for the church leadership with Pete, the Pastor of the church in France that we are seeking to form some sort of link with. He’s over in Newmarket for a few days in January so D.V. we’ll meet with him and talk through some ideas.
Now to focus on tomorrow’s service – Steve will lead as per usual with the help of Helen, so I need to prepare the message – your prayers appreciated.
Just been reading more of the church in Tron. If you remember they were kicked out by the Church of Scotland for their stance against gay clergy – and that battle is still ongoing. But the interesting thing is that this last year they’ve seen more growth than in any previous year with 52 new members and in the last few months 8 baptisms. This year they’ve seen conversions amongst Iranians, Chinese, Thai and Scots within the Fellowship. Jesus Christ will build His church – and not even the gates of the Church of Scotland will stand against it!
