North Norfolk Coastal Path – Burnham Deepdale to Holme next the sea (10 miles)

OK, so yesterday we didn’t quite go as far as intended, and given the protests being expressed, we decided to break the remaining section into two rather than trying to complete the walk today.
Drove to Burnham Deepdale and resumed the walk. Part of this has been artificially constructed from wood staging making a very pleasant surface to walk on (especially when the ground under it is clearly boggy!).
Arriving at Brancaster the route takes an inland turn completing three sides of a rectangle which brings you eventually to Thornham. This is the only section of the walk that seemed totally unnecessary and fairly uninteresting. The reason given for it in thge guide is that there is no coastal path for this stretch (Which is true) but why not just walk along the footpath beside the A149 which would save 2 miles walking and give you the chance to see Titchwell village.
Sky more overcast today but only the occasional spot of rain until we arrived at the start of the golf course at Holme. From here we needed to break off from the walk to head inland to the bus stop (about 0.5 miles) and here it rained (the only time during the entire walk) but at least it was warm rain!
Caught the bus back to Burnham Deepdale and then drove back to Sheringham.
